  1. Thank you so much for these! Would you be willing to share the lyric sheets for your songs and narrations?

    1. Hi Sunny!

I am glad you guys have enjoyed the songs. Since I am neither a singer nor a songwriter, they aren't fantastic, but they were a fun project and our kids have enjoyed them a lot. I just added a song sheet to this post. Usually I don't write down the exact words because I record the songs on the fly. I did have many of these still in my notes document, so I was able to clean them up a bit to include here. The Greek/vocab songs didn't have lyrics that I wrote out and are not on the song sheet.

Hope you are all well and having fun studying this summer!

    2. Hi Rebecca!
We are getting so much out of Acts-- I promise I am the most excited Bible Bee participant in my household, but I love how it inspires every member of the family to study and dig in. And it seems like the Lord always lines life up so that the study passage contains truths that feel so timely.

As for your songs, you have a few hits! My 1 year old loves to sing "Homothymadon" and "Luke and Acts." Then a couple of the kids have taken to the "Call on His Name" song. My personal favorites are the accompanied readings-- what a great idea! Where you find the time to create so many helpful resources is beyond me-- but thank you so much for sharing!

I hope that your family is well and thriving in the Word!

      Blessings,
      Sunny

So, your 7-10 just qualified for the National Bible Bee Competition for the first time.  Congratulations!  But now what do you do?  This guide for parents will walk you through how to prepare your Primary participant for the competition.  From selecting cross references to organizing the memory passages, I hope that these audio recordings will be a helpful resource on your Bible Bee journey. While listening, please keep in mind that these are my personal views and thoughts about the competition.  They do not reflect what will be on the Multiple Choice Test or the Oral Preliminary Rounds.  As always, I am just a parent who enjoys making study materials that I can share and I also like talking all things Bible Bee prep. Introduction + The Scripture Passage I introduce myself and this series and give some ideas about how systematically approach learning the NBBC Scripture Passage.  Listen here . Original Language Terms (Hebrew and Greek) I discuss how to ...

All About Scripture Memorization, Part 1

It could be said that the cornerstone of the Bible Bee is scripture memorization.  Participants in the Summer Study will have 2 passages each week to memorize.  These passages will vary in length depending on the age division you are in.  By the end of the 8-week session, you could have memorized as many as 14 Bible passages. Participants who are aiming to qualify for the National Bible Bee Competition will have an even more exciting challenge.  They will need to memorize approximately 600-1,000 verses!  How do children as young as 7 years old accomplish such a huge feat? The answer is simple. Time, effort, and consistency make memorizing any amount of scripture possible. Time, effort, and consistency make memorizing any amount of scripture possible.  No matter how old or young you are, if you consistently take the time and make the effort, you will be able to successfully commit passages of the Bible to memory.  By following a few simp...
